In de asielinstroom zijn de cijfers verwerkt van: 1e asielaanvragen, herhaalde asielaanvragen, hervestiging, herplaatsing en nareizigers. Het gaat om afgeronde cijfers die beschikbaar zijn gesteld door het Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid.
